How It Started
My first job was in law enforcement, and then I joined the Army. I was assigned to military intelligence, where I asked people questions about what they saw and did, especially during stressful situations.
As my military career advanced and technology developed, I was steeped in the rapidly expanding world of what the Army called “Big Data.” Some of it seemed like magic. I remember showing my commander a chart of enemy communications activity over the last year. It was thousands of phone calls, and a year earlier, it would have taken months to compile this information in a graphic display.
We created this one in 10 minutes. The software had read the reports for us.
Suddenly, we had a new problem: We knew too much, and it stopped being helpful.
We were able to gather so much from so many platforms and systems that we were drowning in an ocean of data. We had to re-learn how to ignore noise and find the most useful sources.
I developed PPI to harness the lessons learned from 20 years of data analytics, investigations, and analysis. We use the right technology and data to get you useful information. There is no black box of algorithms. No secret sauce. No technical jargon designed to make you feel like what we are doing is more complex than it is.
We call and text people, and we ask them what they think. Then we record the answers and write a report for you. That’s it. That’s why we are a third of the cost of big-name market research firms.
We are a small business, like many of you, and we want to help you grow your business.
